Mr. Andrew Plummer is the Chief Financial Officer, Senior Director of Business Strategy, and Corporate Treasurer for Thomson Reuters Special Services, LLC (TRSS), a U.S. subsidiary of Thomson Reuters. Before accepting his instrumental role in the founding of TRSS in 2009, Mr. Plummer spent the majority of his career in the corporate finance space. He started his career in public accounting in auditing and corporate tax. Mr. Plummer brings to his roles at TRSS more than twenty-five years of business management, financial management, and auditing experience in public accounting in the telecommunications industry and for government contracting companies.
At TRSS, Mr. Plummer fosters an ongoing strategic partnership with an emerging technology company which enables more efficient and effective internal product delivery and, at the same time, provides new product offerings to the already robust suite of offerings at TRSS.
Mr. Plummer is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, contracting, treasury, and business planning functions for TRSS. He manages all accounting and tax responsibilities for three legal entities while also supporting mergers and acquisitions. When he first joined TRSS, Mr. Plummer successfully integrated the finance functions of a $13M business acquisition.
Before joining TRSS, Mr. Plummer was the Controller at ECHO 360, a learning technology product company and also the Assistant Vice President of Finance for the government services division of ChoicePoint, a data aggregation company. During his career, he led the Sarbanes-Oxley compliance planning and implementation for the newly created Government Services division comprised of five companies.
Mr. Plummer holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from George Mason University and a CPA certification from the state of Virginia. He now lives with his wife and three children in northern Virginia.
